BulletBlocker's Explorer Pack - Be prepared for whatever adventure comes your way. This slightly larger day-and-a half pack (3100 cubic inches) is built to last. Lightweight aluminum stays and breathable air mesh waistband make it a comfortable pack to carry. Front panel access and zippered side pockets make it easy to pack, and keep gear organized. Hydration compatible with room for a reservoir, sold separately, and mesh water bottle pockets. Fleece-lined optics pocket. Removable waistband and belt stabilizers. Top is made of durable 600D ripstop polyester and 600D polyester oxford, bottom of 610D Cordura®.

Instructions: Hold pack between yourself and the shooter using the shoulder straps as handles. Use as a shield to provide cover for upper torso and head whenever possible. While taking shelter use pack to protect yourself in the direction of the threat. While running away, hold pack high on your back or in the direction of the threat to protect your head and upper torso (vital organs).

BulletBlocker UHMWPE UD (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) Laminations are a Spectra Type, unique lightweight composite material providing superior anti-ballistic protection, for both personnel and vehicle protection. UD stands for "unidirectional": In UHMWPE UD Laminations, all the fibers are laid parallel, in the same plane, rather than being woven together. UHMWPE UD Laminations are made of several layers of UHMWPE fibers, with the direction of fibers in each layer at 90 degree to the direction of the fibers in the adjacent layers. The unidirectional configuration of the fibers in UHMWPE UD Laminations allows the energy transferred from the impact of a bullet or other ballistic threat to be distributed along the fibers much faster and more efficiently than in conventional woven aramid type fabrics. This is because the absorption power of the yarn in woven fabrics is lost at the crossover points, as these points reflect rather than absorb the shockwaves of the impact. In UHMWPE UD Laminations, much more of the material is engaged in stopping the bullet, making it more effective against ballistics. Dyneema® UD and Spectra are typical UHMWPE UD laminate materials. The polyethylene base material makes this one of the most moisture resistant anti-ballistic materials available.

Most of the personal body armor worn by law enforcement is Threat Level II or IIa, both are a lower level of protection.
